Psychotherapy Services

Areas of Specialization

I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, loneliness, life transitions, grief and loss, and trauma recovery. I particularly enjoy working with teens and young adults, including college and graduate students navigating the unique pressures of academic life.

I also specialize in men's mental health, helping clients repair relationships, become better partners and fathers, and develop stronger self-worth.

Relationship Issues

Many clients come to therapy wanting deeper, more fulfilling relationships but feeling unsure how to create the closeness they desire. A common experience is keeping others at "arm's length," often without realizing it. This protective pattern is frequently shaped by past emotional hurts. I work collaboratively with clients to understand where these patterns began and to develop gentle, practical ways to build trust and emotional intimacy over time.

Anxiety and Perfectionism

I also work with high-achieving individuals who are driven, capable, and goal-oriented, yet feel stuck in cycles of perfectionism and self-doubt. Clients often report difficulty making decisions, persistent anxiety, feeling unproductive despite their efforts, and believing their worth is tied to their performance. Therapy focuses on building effective tools to manage anxiety while also addressing the deeper emotional factors that fuel these patterns.

Depression

Depression can show up in many forms, including irritability, sleep disruption, withdrawal, or a sense of hopelessness about the future. Many clients struggle with harsh self-criticism and long-standing negative beliefs about themselves. I help clients become more aware of their inner dialogue, understand the origins of their self-critical voice, and develop healthier, more compassionate ways of relating to themselves—leading to greater emotional balance and relief.

Therapeutic Approach

I blends psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral strategies, tailoring my approach to each client's unique needs. I view the therapeutic relationship itself as a powerful catalyst for change and growth. Clients often describe me as genuine, professional, and down-to-earth—qualities that help create an environment where meaningful work can happen.
